We're 309 Birmingham Scouts — our home is Green Lane Masjid and Community Centre, so you'll also see us referred to as 309 GLM Scouts. Both names refer to the same group. We help over 120 young people aged 4 to 18 enjoy fun and adventure each week while developing the skills they need to succeed — in a halal environment.
We believe in preparing young people with skills for life, in a halal environment. That means teamwork, leadership and resilience — the same skills that have helped Scouts become everything from teachers and social workers to astronauts and Olympians. We believe in bringing people together, we celebrate diversity, and we stand against intolerance, always. We're part of a worldwide movement, creating stronger communities and inspiring positive futures.
